Dan was the CAW Local 200 Chairperson of Ford Windsor Engine Plant Annex or as Dan always called it “Plant One.”

A proud union man, Dan was respected by workers and management alike, for his honesty and integrity.

There was never any guessing about what his feelings were on the issues at hand and once Dan took a position on an issue, you could “take it to the bank” that he would never back down.

“Plant One” is the busy, successful workplace it is today because of his ability to work well with our Local Union leadership and keep the Company’s feet to the fire on work commitments.

It was that very determination and drive that, even though fighting a devastating disease like cancer, could not hold him back from returning to work and representing workers.
